In their first podcast, Kevin Byrd and Willie B bring listeners inside their obsession with all things automotive – a passion that also lies at the heart of their partnership on the Two Guys Garage TV show. Reggie Wynn of Precision Turbo/ Turbonetics joins them to share some tech and make a major announcement!
Kevin offers to help a veteran buddy get his bike ready for Biketoberfest. They’ll wet blast some of the bike and properly lay paint on it. Kevin fixes his buddy’s truck speedometer that reads incorrectly due to oversized tires, and then they’ll head out to Detroit one more time to Dyno Kevin’s completed ARP Coyote engine build!
Kevin and Willie tackle a DOD / AFM delete on a 5.3 V8 in a 2008 Saab 9-7X. They’ll tackle this GM platform’s problematic fuel management system by swapping out the camshaft, lifters, valley plate and a few other parts to give this engine its power back. They guys then take off to Detroit to Dyno Willie’s now completed ARP Hemi engine build!
You’ve seen the videos, you’ve read the articles, and Kevin and Willie are stoked, as one of the quickest SUV’s in the world rolls in to the shop – the Trackhawk! They’ll take this supercharged Hellcat V8 making 707 Hp from the factory and wick it up to 1025 Hp with the brand new Livernois Performance Package!
The guys have an old ’99 Ford Ranger in the shop. It’s the owner’s daily driver and the years have not been good to it. They’ll replace the old front and rear suspension, replace the faulty power steering pump and tackle some other maintenance issues to get this truck driving safely again.
In the shop today is a 2004 BMW M3 with a faulty SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox)Transmission. The owner wants to put the fun back in driving by making the vehicle a manual, and since the conversion is cheaper than replacing it with a new one, the guys get to work to make this swap happen.
The guys get their hands on a 2019 Jeep JL. They’ll be lifting it, adding new wheels and tires, and installing a new exhaust to give this stock Jeep the look and sound that it deserves.
The guys have a ’74 Nova in the shop that desperately needs some help. The project has stalled, and the guys jump in to help the owner get it moving again. So, Kevin and Willie get the interior finished up and toss in a few needed extras to get this Nova project back on track!
Kevin and Willie have a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 in the shop today. The owner bought a new boat and needs a few accessories added to complete the package. So, the guys add automatic power side steps, tow mirrors, and a new performance programmer to get this tow rig ready for the weekend!
The guys have a 2016 Mustang with an Ecoboost engine in the shop that is in need of more power. So, Kevin and Willie add a new turbo and intercooler to boost this 4-cylinder engine from mild to wild!
