Kevin and Willie tackle a DOD / AFM delete on a 5.3 V8 in a 2008 Saab 9-7X. They’ll tackle this GM platform’s problematic fuel management system by swapping out the camshaft, lifters, valley plate and a few other parts to give this engine its power back. They guys then take off to Detroit to Dyno Willie’s now completed ARP Hemi engine build!
You’ve seen the videos, you’ve read the articles, and Kevin and Willie are stoked, as one of the quickest SUV’s in the world rolls in to the shop – the Trackhawk! They’ll take this supercharged Hellcat V8 making 707 Hp from the factory and wick it up to 1025 Hp with the brand new Livernois Performance Package!
The guys have an old ’99 Ford Ranger in the shop. It’s the owner’s daily driver and the years have not been good to it. They’ll replace the old front and rear suspension, replace the faulty power steering pump and tackle some other maintenance issues to get this truck driving safely again.
In the shop today is a 2004 BMW M3 with a faulty SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox)Transmission. The owner wants to put the fun back in driving by making the vehicle a manual, and since the conversion is cheaper than replacing it with a new one, the guys get to work to make this swap happen.
